Tried to use some cool alternate posters when I could find them:
It’s still difficult to believe that they stuck the landing this well.
Cold Pursuit is a severely underrated and underseen gem. It you saw the ads for this and thought it was just the typical January Liam Neeson action schlock, you could not be more wrong. It’s much more Fargo than Taken, with clever dark humor and several twists and turns. Maybe my most unexpected surprise of the year. For example:
Writer/director/New England native Robert Eggers proves himself to be a true visionary with this one-of-a-kind trip into the insanity of isolation. Robert Pattinson and Willem Dafoe are incredible in this two-man show. Here’s to a great 2020 at the movies! This year looks very promising. We should have new films from perennial Biggies contenders Steven Spielberg, David Fincher, Ridley Scott, Christopher Nolan, and potentially Paul Thomas Anderson among many others. Cineboner!
Take us out, Leo…
